CAP Awarded Grant From NCCF
DUNKIRK — The Child Advocacy Project recently received a $4,258 grant from the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation to purchase items for its new office.
CAP moved to 425 Main St., Dunkirk, in January. The grant provided new signs, office supplies/equipment and materials for a Play Therapy Room, an area new to Dunkirk. Play therapy is provided by one of the center’s clinical staff. The new signs are designed by Chautauqua Sign Company.
“These grant monies help visitors to easily identify where CAP is located and outfits a new space for us to provide play therapy in,” said Beth Oakes, CAP executive director.
The Child Advocacy Program has been in Chautauqua County for 12 years. The Chautauqua County Child Advocacy Program is a safe, child-friendly center that supports a multi-disciplinary investigative approach to child physical and sexual abuse allegations.
